~~  CARIBBEAN RnR~~

11-8  Saturday 
We left around 8 am to take Mr. Herbie to Salty Dog Boarding.  Then we headed out for Galveston.  We stopped at one of our favorite places BUC-E-E-E's.. Gas/Fuel Stop, gift store, sandwich/sausage store.
I love to walk around the place and look at the new items.. I had to use the restroom and I opened the door and this is what I saw.

We bought a couple of sandwiches and some Beaver Nuts and we were on our way..

We had reservations at Super 8 in Alvin, Texas, as we found out that there is a Huge/ The biggest bike rally in the state of Texas in Galveston.  That is why we found a hotel 20 miles from Galveston. Later in the day and into the evening we heard a roar of engines coming in the lot.

What beautiful bikes.. We had conversations with some of the biker guests and they are so interesting to talk to..  We went out for dinner at China Buffet, well the food was not as great as other China Buffets.  

As we were arriving in the Port of Galveston we seen our ship in already and we were getting excited. Got to our parking lot and was ready to head for the ship.  This was sometime around 9:30 AM.  The bus driver said that it was going to be crazy today.. What is a 5 min drive to the ship has been about a 20 minute because of the Bike Rally.  We were early so it wouldn't be that long, but they have to take another route. All along the drive along the terminal road was filled with Vendor tents and semi's with advertisements and BIKES.. Wow.. We were able to go right in and get checked in and then the wait to board the ship might of been about 45 minutes.

We got on ship around 11:30 AM and went and got a table and got some lunch.. After we were done with lunch we were able to get in our room and leave our carry on's and then we headed out to walk around.  It was cool out..

4 PM the Carnival Magic was pulling out of Galveston.

We were one day at sea and then on Tuesday we docked in Cozumel.  We got off the ship and walked around Parked next to us was Royal Caribbean Navigator of the Sea..

We love Cozumel with the colorful courtyard to enjoy and rest .

We stopped at PONCHO'S for a Margarita and a appetizer.

They also had 2 musicians playing island music.

There were 2 other ships that were docked further out in the old section of Cozumel

This is the Italian Restaurant on ship that offers a free Pasta Bar for lunch.

Excellent food and atmosphere... We really enjoyed our lunch.

We were at the dining room one morning for breakfast and there was 8 of us.. After 2 couples left, Garrett said to me.  You and your husband were on this cruise last.. I said yes we were, he said I remember you and your husband... What are the chances that 2 couples on the same cruise last year on the same cruise the following year.  We had alot of laughs and fun.  I said to Dan, either we are a attractive couple or a butt ugly couple that someone remembered us a year later..  LOL

Veterans Day,  this big flag was hanging in the middle of the floors..  

I did Thank Veterans for their service.. Some were shocked and some were very appreciative.

November 1st Arrive at Southern Oaks - Aransas Pass, Texas

Arrive At Southern Oaks RV Resort

We left Tennessee and the ride to Texas didn't seem that long..  Almost half the miles that we used to drive to get here.  We stopped in Kinder, LA at the Coushatta Casino and we stayed 2 nights.

We stayed at Gateway To The Gulf on Friday night and Saturday morning we had a short ride to Aransas Pass.  It was nice to see friends that came and welcomed us back.  There are alot of workers in the park. There also is alot of friends that did not return. 

Sunday 11-2

• When we left last year we made plans to meet the Doggetts for breakfast on Nov. 2nd.. The bakery was so full and we met them outside and when Pat and Jim arrived we decided to go on the island to Moby Dicks and when we were on the ferry a group from Southern Oaks were on there and they also were going to breakfast so we joined them.
• After breakfast we went and got some fuel, and I had to go to my favorite store, BEALLS.. Oh my I was having withdrawls. Bought  some tops and a pair of carpi's.
• Afterwards we came back and got more setting up in trailer, took Mr. Herbie for a walk and then we went to the storage unit and got our stairs and luggage.

Monday 11-3

• Dan started his routine of going for coffee with the guys and catching up on what everyone adventures were during the summer.
• I enjoyed sleeping until almost 8:30 am 
• After I got up and had my coffee I took Mr. Herbie out for his walk.  There are so many burrs and stickers in the grass that the dogs find it had to do their business..
• I went and played POKENO today and it was fun playing with 13 gals.  I won a couple of games but it is no big deal if I win or loose.  They play 2 times a week.  If I am around I will play, but I don't like to commit to every time especially if there is something else going on that I want to do.
• Went to 4 O'clock happy hour in the park setting area.   

Tuesday  11-4

• After I got up and had my coffee, I called to see when I would be able to get a haircut and a perm.  I had one for Weds.. 
• Called and seen when I could get in to see the Chiropractor and get a neck adjustment..
• Did some cleaning and took Mr. Herbie out for a walk in the park to play ball with him.. 

Wednesday  11-5

• Rain and more rain.. Will I ever see sunshine?

• I went and got my hair cut and permed.. sure needed it..  I am just glad that my hair is growing back again..
• Weds if POKENO again, so I was back in time to play and loose a few more pennies.
• Happy Hours have been in the community hall, and we don't really care to go there, so we had ours at our 5th wheel.. Made dinner and I started to go through some clothes that I wanted to take on cruise..

Thursday 11-6

• Got up early, I had to have Herbie at the groomers by 8 AM..Dan was going to coffee with the boys and then they were going to go to Corpus for a day of shopping at Harbor Freight, Northern Tool and then they go to "HOOTER's" for lunch..
• After I dropped Herbie off I went and had breakfast, then I went to BEALL's to see what I could find in some new clothes.
• I got a call from our friend Mary and I pulled into a shopping center and stopped and we talked for a hour and half.  It was sure nice chatting with her and hearing that she is doing better after loosing her husband a week ago.
• Then I picked Herbie up and was looking for someone to go out to lunch with and no one was available.
• Thursday's was Pizza night and our friends from South Dakota met us at Pizza Hut and we had a great visit, sharing our adventures of the summer.

Friday Nov. 7th

• Up early, packing, get house cleaned, and took Mr. Herbie to play ball.
• Went to the chiropractor in the afternoon and Dan went with me. Had my adjustment and my neck and shoulder feels better.
• Went to Bealls to return some clothes, can you beleive they were to big.. LOL
• Later we picked up our friends Gene and Linda and went over to the Island for dinner.. Avery's kitchen.. we had the best Fish and Chips that I had in a long time.. Grouper..yummy
• We sat and ate and visited quite a while.  We both came to Texas at the same time 9 years ago..  They have been on cruises with us for a few years.We have had good times with them.

Saturday  10-8

• Up early, got everything together and Herbie knew something was up.
• We left for Alvin Texas after we took Mr. Herbie to Salty Dogs Boarding and grooming for his vacation..
• I told him that he was staying here and playing with his friends and that he had to be a good boy and we will be right back..  He gave the that Herbie look.. I asked for a kiss, and he turned his face away from me..  LOL.. Told him see you soon..  What a Dog..
• Stopped at Buc-ee's in Wharton and we walked around and looked at everything..got some Beaver Nuggets.. Yep.. Good..
• It is Bike week in Galveston and Bikes, beautiful bikes everywhere.
• Well time to go to bed with the sound of motorcycles everywhere..  

Sunday  11-9

• Up early went and had a light breakfast and we are heading for Galveston.
• A nice Sunny Day..   See ya next week...
