Nov 1st -- Arrive at Southern Oaks

We had a short drive from Victoria to Aransas Pass. Arrived at Southern Oaks, We went and signed in and we had a dilemena..  it is 81 degrees out and hot... Went to pay our bill only to find that our credit card was declined. WHAT I SAID.... I called Chase and only to find that they thought something was suspicious on the activity and froze it.
Someone hacked us and charged a lot and of course we are not responsible for it and they closed the account and are re-issuing us new card. So now... I will spend the rest of the day changing my passwords and checking my bank accounts. So my dear friends, watch your credit cards closely.. I was advised to change my passwords about every 3 month. Credit Card fraud is getting bad out there. The couple ahead of us had the same thing happen to them yesterday.

Once we got that taken care of Dan set up.  Nice park and we are in one of the newer sites,  With the heat and no rain the grass they planted did not make it all the way up. So they are watering hoping that it will take off.  The sites are all concrete and nice and long,  Seen some people that we knew and stopped and talked to them and then we went and had Happy hour under the trees with a few that are here .  Nice group of people.  Gene and Linda took a ride to see us and Dan has already got a call to meet the guys for coffee tomorrow at What-a-burger..   Now is time for me to take Herbie out and go to bed,  Dan is sleeping in his chair and Herbie is on the floor sleeping with his bone..

October 30th and 31st -- Gateway To The Gulf

We arrived to Gateway To The Gulf early afternoon.    What a wonderful welcome one gets when they arrive.  Got set up and was happy to that we had 2 nights there. Ginny and Larry arrived shortly after we did and they got set up also.. We then took a ride to find Wal-mart to get a few things. Larry and Ginny went with us. We picked up a rotisserie chicken for dinner and made mashed potatoes and cream corn.. After dinner Larry and Ginny came over to visit and it was so nice to catch up with them. I had a bad ache in my neck and Ginny brought over their bio- stimulator and put it on my neck for 30 minutes. It was nice to sleep in Monday morning, weather was really nice.  In late morning Dan and I went to Wal-mart again to get a few things that we need for our little pot luck, 
After we got back from Walmart Ginny came over and I showed her how to make a flower.. She did really good.  it was fun doing crafts with Ginny.
Jay and Stella were suppose to arrive and then Ginny was going to make some Brats and Peppers and I made a cold salad and Dan grilled some hot dogs.  Jay and Stella arrived and it was nice to see them and their new Landmark. We had our happy hour and then we ate our dinner

We sat out until the sun went down and it got cold and then went into the unit to watch MIKE AND MOLLY..just too funny.  Time for bed... It was a long day.
