It looks like winter is upon us.. cold weather is coming in along with some rain. Good thing about it is that it does not last long.
Rain is what they need here.
January 2nd Monday41 degrees at 9 am.
Our friends from Alabama left this morning for California, It was sure great seeing Charles and Minnie and I gave her a flower pin that I made as a keepsake..Such wonderful people.
Today I went shopping with 2 other gal friends.. Left early and went to Rockport and went into old town area, and went through some of the shops there... Bought a few Christmas items that were half price... That is always exciting to buy something that you really like for half price.
Then it was time for lunch and we went to a cafe that was highly recommended. We went to The Lunch Box. A really small place, friendly people, and good food.. Then we continued on to some other boutiques and headed home. I was tired but had a great time with friends.
January 3rd Tuesday
Not to busy of a day... Washed clothes, did some cleaning and just hung around.
Went and played PO KENO with the ladies this afternoon and they cleaned me out. I am going to have to get the bank and stock up on rolls of pennies.
Dan made steaks for dinner and just settled in for the night.
January 4th Wednesday

Dan and I went for dinner at Mexico Taqueria in Aransas Pass. Great food and it is very clean.
January 5th Thursday

It is going to be one of those nice days today. I went and made jewelry with Shirley today.. It was so much fun. Look what I made..
Dan and I went to PIZZA HUT for dinner tonight. It is a ritual on Thursdays and we meet up with our friends Jim and Nancy from Ransom Road. Came back home and settled in.

January 7th Saturday
Dan and I went to Portland and got our mail and stopped at HEB and picked up a few groceries. It was a nice day... I walked Herbie and visited with a few people.
I played with my beads and organized all I had.
After dinner we had a campfire (with our Fire Dancer-Propane) Had people over and we visited and laughed...It was a nice evening and not windy...
January 8th Sunday
Nice day and I was under the weather, just stayed in eating chicken noodle soup and drinking tea and apple juice...
Another week just flew by..!!!!
