Dec 30th   Friday
VERY HEAVY FOG..... Dan and I went to Corpus in the morning to do some errands and then we were going to have breakfast in there.  All the restaurant's were packed so we headed back home and stopped in Portland at the new I-HOP..  10 minutes after we sat down the place was packed and people were waiting..  You would never know that there was an economic crunch in Texas...  All the shopping centers are packed, all the restaurant's are full most of the time, and the gas stations always have lines waiting to get in... The grocery stores are just as full.  JUST GO FIGURE!!
Carol and John Zurn  HOC friends stopped over for a visit.
We had a great surprise later in the afternoon.  Our dear friends from Alabama, who we met when we came to Texas, Charles was working for Kewitt and they were staying in the park Ransom Road, snuck in here and surprised us.  They moved to Tennessee for a year as Charles was working out there.  Now they are headed for Lodi California, for a year. They stayed for a few days.  Oh it was so nice to see them and catch up..

Dec  31st   Saturday
Light rain this morning and light wind, a bit foggy also.  We went and mailed some letters, stopped and visited a few friends and took a ride home.  Dan went to Happy Hour and I took Herbie for his walk, and Dan made steaks on grill which were really good.  Went outside and brought out our Fire Dancer fire pit and a few friends came and joined us and we had a really good time.. We lasted until midnight and went in and had our herring and Wished each other a Happy New Year and I was sound to sleep when my head hit the pillow....HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!
The fog was coming in and showed up on the lens
