April 16th to April 22nd 2012 ~~ALMOST HOME~~

April 16th    Monday
Up early again, had coffee and medicine and got ready for a busy day..  Dan walked Herbie and when he got back he said that it is really windy out.  1st stopped was Martin Marketing, to pick out shirts and a design for our winter Texan - Heartland Owners Club Shirts.  Also to discuss what we are going to sell for Heartland at The Rally.
Then we went out for breakfast.. I enjoy going to Perkins for a good hearty breakfast. Then Dan went over to Mor-ryde to pick up the disc brakes that he is going to put on the 5th wheel.

April 17th    Tuesday ~~ Off With the Flip-Flops and On With Socks and Shoes

~Herbie is anxiously waiting to leave~
We left at 8 AM, it was about 28 degrees this morning. We had a nice ride home. there was not alot of traffic. We pulled in our drive about 5:15 PM. Dan got the house opened up and I brought a few things in. This is going to take me about a week to empty out my clothes and stuff that I had stashed.  I walked around the yard and seen that the preninals are starting to pop up and I need to get out there and rake out the leaves and pull some weeds.  Wish that I could find someone to help me with my gardens in the spring. Down state everything was green and leaves are popping out and here it is just buds and some green grass..
I made us some dinner and now Dan is sound asleep in his chair..  "HOME SWEET HOME"

April 18th    Wednesday
26 degrees this morning and with light rain.  Busy day doing some unloading from 5th wheel, still alots more to do... It was cold out.   Our dear friends Ron and Eileen had us over for dinner last night, that was wonderful. She made a Mexican casserole and spanish rice and it was so so good. Caught up with each other on our winters. Molly and Herbie was happy to see each other..

April 19th    Thursday
Woke up at 6:30 AM..Getting back on Eastern Standard Time is hard to get use to again.
Having my morning coffee, I looked outside and it was snowing..It is a light snow and melts as it hits the ground.
Brought in most of the clothes and canned goods.  Sitting in my chair in the afternoon looking out into yard, all of a sudden I see a beautiful red fox walk in the yard. It walked around and then went into the woods.  This is the first time I seen a fox.. We have deer and babies that come often in the summer, also have seen bear, and a wolf.

April 20th   Friday
Light rain this morning and it is 36 degrees. Picked up my BFF Eileen and went  to town to get my hair cut, went to the grocery store and then stopped for a sandwich before we headed back home.  Later Ron and Eileen and Dan and I continued our ritual of going out for Fish Fry.  Then on the way home we pass the Dairy Flo and of course it is part of the ritual to stop for ice cream for dessert.

April 21st    Saturday
26 degrees this morning and heavy frost..   Nothing really happening.

April 22nd   Sunday
25 degrees this morning again, along with heavy frost again Ron and Eileen stopped in for coffee and brought me a paper.  My neighbor up the road, has beautiful gardens and is making garden art for them. Went and seen her work and visited with her.  Came back and watched the NASCAR  RACE..
Another week came to an end.....
