It looks as Indian Summer is gone and the North Winds are a blowing.. Since I last posted it has been a very busy 9 days.. First of all I was not able to get on the Internet very much as our wireless card was running low on time... It would of been OK, but Dan went and downloaded an update for his GPS and it was like 4 or 5 hours that he was working with this, not realizing that it was eating up our GIGS... So, in turn I had to lay off being on line... Oh did that hurt...
Dan and I and Herbie went out for ride one day and it was really nice out. On the way home we stopped at our favorite lake and we let Herbie run without a leash and we sat at a table and enjoyed the view and was watching Herbie having fun searching for new sniffs.
In the meantime, I had a ladies lunch with the neighbor ladies and that was nice to catch up with them.. Then we went to the Casino for a Wet Burrito and Dan went and got his Birthday tokens and guess what he won 70.00 and he had a good time... On Sunday the 16th we got up and the furnace was not working... Oh it was a chilly one in here.. We had friends coming for dinner and I was wondering if I was going to have to cancel the dinner.... Our friends Ron and Eileen had told us to go to their home and get their EDEN PURE heater and oh my, within a few hours the house was warm and toasty.... I fixed a good old country dinner of Roast Loin of Pork, Mashed Potatoes, Peas, Home made Applesauce, broccoli salad and rolls.. Pumpkin Crunch Cake for dessert.. Everyone was stuffed and when everyone left the house temp was up to 76 degrees... WOW way to warm for me...
We might have to look into getting another EDEN PURE again. We had one and it was not doing much good.
Monday and Tuesday we had focused on loading the trailer.. It was cold with high winds...Lake Superior was just a roaring... The waves had to be at least 10-12 foot that we seen at shore...
Dan had an Dr. appointment for a physical and I took my friend to the hospital for some testing that she needed to have done.. Then the next day we had to take Mr. Herbie in town for his going way bath and haircut. In between all these appointments I have done alot of getting things in the trailer to leave..Dan has been the hero though, getting most of the stuff done..
The leaves are all off the trees and the mornings have been cold and that only means one thing. Head South with the birds...
This is a catch up of the past week or so... Hopefully I will be keep putting updates along the road. I am so glad that we met our Texas Friends Jay and Stella and seen how interesting their BLOG is and Thanks to them for getting me started... So Long for now, we are off to the Casino for dinner and maybe win a dollar or two..~~~
