Jan 2nd to Jan 6th 2013

2013  Happy New Year

January 2nd     Wednesday
It is raining this morning again.  That is OK though the area needs rain desperately.  Dan is taking Hoyt back to Rockport to return his rental car and then they will be on there way to Miami.  We had a great time last night with our friends at Moby Dicks.  I even had a virgin moment and had a raw oyster on a half shell.  It was on a cracker with cocktail sauce and horseradish. It was really not to bad.  Hoyt and Mary pulled out and were headed for Miami with a load on their truck..
I just wish that it would warm up a bit....

January 3rd      Thursday
No sun, cold and with some wind.. we didn't do much except stay in and watched movies.
Went out with Heartland for dinner to Pepito's.. 18 people showed up. What a great time..

Oh by the way, I want to clarify something.  Even though we eat out alot with our friends, I want to make it clear, that I don't eat alot.  I make choices that are bearable for my palate.. Yes, I do bring some leftovers home, and Dan usually has them for a left over dinner.  I have a very hard time digesting beef. (steaks, roasts and big chunks of stew) Fish and chicken and ground beef is isn't a problem. I still eat small quantities..  I don't eat alot of breads. I have eaten only 1 hamburger and that was a McDonalds, McDouble.. I could only eat a half of it.

January 4th      Friday

No Sun..This is getting pretty boring.  Staying indoors we decided to run a few errands.  We picked up the stained glass window that we had repaired, that broke bringing it back from Gillette, WY for friends Lee and Linda.  After we picked it up we took it right to  Lee and Linda's rig.

They just loved it and was happy to get it back and in their door window.  Afterwards we went home for lunch at home and ate more shrimp.  Later we took a ride and stopped over and seen Gene and Linda for a visit and coffee and played with Marcella.
For dinner, we had leftovers and I had tomato soup.
Did the dishes and snuggled up with the electric throw and stayed warm..

January  5th     Saturday
No sun again... Cold and some light rain. Clean up coach and got ready for Ron and Eileen's arrival..  They called around 10:30 this morning and said that they just got on the by-pass.  We went to the front of the park and waited for them to arrive.  They followed us to their spot.  I took Molly while they set up. Molly was so happy to see Mr. Herbie and they had alot of fun together.
Later we took them to the island for lunch and then we drove them around showing them a few places.  I had dinner here for them, afterwards I went over to the laundry and washed a couple of loads of clothes, while the guys were watching the Green Bay Packers wild card game. When we got done I made Mexican sundaes for dessert.  Yeah!! the Packers won the game... Go Pack..

January  6th     Sunday
Oh what a wonderful site this morning, SUN  SUN  SUN..  Dan and Ron went to the Gun show at the civic center. Eileen and Molly came over and we chatted and then we took our dogs for a walk and met some people.   For lunch, I warmed up the casserole we had last night for dinner and then we ate outside in the sun and warmth.
Tonight we went to Pizza Hut for  dinner. I asked Ann and Joe, our friends from Oklahoma if they wanted to join us and they said sure..... The sun is starting to set, so I better go and get a warmer top on.. Our park is filling up and that is a good thing..

Until next week, everyone have a great week....
