Making Our Way Home
April 15th Monday
We were up early and got our coach ready to leave Durant OK.. The Howard's have been traveling with us and they are ready to roll also. We went and said Goodbyes and Thank You's to the Hosts and the friends that we had made and others that we know. It was a great Rally and looking forward to the next one in April 2014. Choctaw KOA is the most beautiful campground we have ever been too. We are headed for Texrkana, AR for our next stop. We stopped at Sunrise RV in Texrkana and I remember the place now. A good overnight, gravel roads, no trees, full hook-ups and no wi-fi. It was a beautiful afternoon, warm, with a light breeze. We sat out having coffee and seen another Landmark come in and waved as they passed us. We had talked that we were going to go to Denny's for dinner and the Other Landmark was pulling out and stopped and said HI, and we asked if they were going for dinner and they said yes, at Denny's.. I said so are we, save us a spot, we will be right there. They are HOC members and come to find out that we had seen them at the 1st HOC rally in Goshen... We had nice conversation and exchanged our cards and invited them to come and join us for coffee at our rig when we get back..

April 16th Tuesday
Left Sunrise RV early as we have a long day... Not much newsy as we were on the road. We arrived at Mid-South RV park in Harrah's complex. We were here on our way to Texas this pas fall. Nice park, Howard's are parked next to us. The weather has been windy. Here I thought I was getting away from the wind..We got set up and had a quick snack. Later we went to Harrah's casino for dinner and to try our luck. Harrah's is a big place, but their slots did not help our pocketbooks. Came back to our coach and kicked back. Good Night!!
April 17th Wednesday
It was a nice morning, Dan and the Howard's went to Hollywood Casino this afternoon, I did not feel good so I went to bed and took a nap. Later in the evening we all went to Sam's Town Casino and that is a neat casino. Lot of the kind of slots that we like playing. Good restaurants. I spent my allotment and then I went and sat in the lobby and played my Sudoku until 10 PM when we all decided to meet. Then we went and had ice cream before we headed home. The weather was nice and warm outside. What a day..... Time for bed.. I am tired.
April 18th Thursday
70 degrees this morning and windy, there are storm warnings out. We took a quick ride to South Haven and went to Hancock Fabric and Wal-mart... Not much else has been happening.
Dan made breakfast muffins for us and the Howard's. We decided that in the afternoon we would go to Hollywood Casino for awhile and then over to Sam's Town.. The Dinner buffets at casinos have become so expensive.. $25.00 a person.. To much for our budget.. So we went to the Grille and had something from there.. When I have spent my alloted money I go find myself a chair and sit and work on my Sudoku puzzles.. That does me just fine.
April 20th Saturday
It was a nice and sunny morning and we along with the Howard's went to South Haven to the Wal-mart and then to Joanne Fabrics.. When we got back Gene and Linda made us a Brisket plate and we had a late lunch and afterwards we went to try one more casino.. The Gold Strike.. I have had enough of casino's for a long time. After I spent my allotment, I went to front and sat and worked on my Sudoku.. It is fun to go to once and awhile.. Came back and sat out side having coffee and conversation.. Time to think about putting stuff away so we can leave.
April 21st Sunday
We left early for Tennessee, we had a few hundred miles to travel..It was a nice day for traveling.
Not much news, but we arrived here at Twin Lakes Catfish Farm and RV park around 3 PM. got all settled in and then we went over to my mothers house for dinner and a visit. Stayed for a few hours and then came back to unwind and relax.. This is a nice clean park for a short stay..Good food in the restaurant also..
