COUNTDOWN TO TEXAS.. 10-15-2012 TO 10-21-2013

This is going to be a very busy week.. I have alot of socializing to do before we leave..

October 15th   Monday       Garden Club Chili dinner at my house.

Woke up this morning with light rain which turned into heavy rain.
I made my chili this morning for the Chili Party tonight.  Dan went and did one last mulch of leave.  I think that the mower has met it's demise..  Dan is looking into getting another.  He likes the commerical lawnmowers, (as that is what he had at the park, in his fleet of equipment).

Had a great time last night with The Garden Club here for the Chili Party. 12 ladies were here, after dinner they made a decoupage flower pot with pictures out of magazines. Oh by the way there was 3 desserts, Coconut Custard Pie, A really good Rum Cake, and Strawberry Shortcake.  Everyone left and I finished cleaning up and went and watched our Monday night TV comedies.

October 16th   Tuesday        LUNCH  IN MARQUETTE with Mary
No rain this morning.. Going to Marquette for lunch with Mary and finish up a few errands.

October 18th  Thursday

Woke up this morning to NO electricity, it was dark out.  I had a flashlight in my make-up case... So I went down the stairs and seen that there were some candles lite on the tables.  AH Hah, Eileen had been up and went down and was looking for matches to lite some candles.  I sat in a lounge chair by the fireplace, and soon some of the other gals came down and we sat and talked.  It was getting light outside and we could see the lake.  Bud the owner came and he made a fire in the fireplace. We tried to talk him into making some old fashion cooked coffee in a pot of water.  Well, with the electricity off, meant that the well pump was not working..  Well, soon the electricity was on and coffee was made and we had a cup and  and went back upstairs to shower and get dressed.  Got another cup of coffee and went and sat on the porch with a few others and enjoyed the morning.  It was not too cold out which made it nice.
We  had a wonderful breakfast, finished our coffee and said our good-byes.
Lights on.. enjoying a cup of coffee before breakfast
 Waiting for breakfast

It was raining so hard, we decided not to go shopping in Manistique, we headed home.  We stopped by the Casino in Christmas for an hour. Had a good time again... Walked out with what we walked in with.  Got home and Herbie was so happy to see me.

Dan has been mulching leaves and his ole trusty lawn mower has gone to the dogs, as they say.  He went on line and found another one in Pound Wisconsin. So this morning, he went to Wisc, with Ron and bought another one.  Now it is in the barn, and will be ready for him this spring when we get home.

October 19th   Friday
Rainy morning, sun is suppose to come out.. The sun came out for 19 minutes at a time.. Did some laundry, and got a few things ready to take out to trailer.  We went out for our Friday night dinner with Ron and Eileen.  Came home and played with Mr. Herbie... Watched our Friday night programs....

October 20th   Saturday
This morning it the sun was shining and today is the day I have to get the rest of my "Stuff" in the trailer.  I decided not to take some of my crafts.  I also decided not to take alot of clothes along. I can not even imagine what it would be to be a "Full Timer".
Dan went to town to wash his truck, "He does not like to go on the road with a dirty truck".  Made a small dinner and cleaned up and thought about what I forgot to take.  I know that there is something I forgot, well, I just have to do without or buy another one..

October 21st   Sunday

The countdown is on.. Ron and Eileen will be here soon for coffee and they always bring me a Sunday paper.. We will miss them but the best part is that they will be in Texas this year with us for a few months. We are excited, that we will be able to show them around.
Dan is starting to winterize the house. We are invited to Ron and Eileen's for dinner, and then we will stay in the 5th wheel tonight and get up early and head out.  We have a long way to get to Elkhart Indiana. Where we will stay for 2 nights..  So, this is all for this week.  It has been busy and I am tired.... Just too much fun some times.
