Let's try it again

I am new at this blogging and I went and made up another blog and hopefully it will make me easy to understand...
Well summer is coming to an end and 26 more days we are going to be on the road again heading for Texas, I sure hope that the weather down there cools down a bit.
Our weather here is cool again and we had a nice rain last night along with some loud thunder. Although it was not enough rain to do any good. Our grounds were pretty dry around here. As I look out in the back yard right now the sun is shining and I can see some of the leaves starting to turn a lighter green and in between them are some reds popping though. Just wondering what the color will be like this year??
When we got home this spring it was cold and it took a long time for it to warm up and then it went to super hot, which is something unusable for this. Come July and August there were many days of 90’s and high 90’s..
In June we went down to Elkhart Indiana for a Heartland RV rally. For those that don’t know what I am talking about, Heartland it the manufacturing company of our last 5th wheel. What a great company, they really care about you and the product that you purchased. They have a Heartland Owners RV club and they are a great group of people, just everyday RV’ers. What a great way to meet people who have been down the same roads that we have traveled. When we got back from Elkhart we had a week to recover and then we got ready for a week of camping over the 4th of July.. Our friends from Wisconsin had come on up and we stayed at the Tourist Park, on Lake Superior only 25 miles from our home. Oh we had a great time again..This is the 4th year that they came up and their reservation is going to be in again for 2012... We go to the parade in the morning and then in the evening after dinner we take our lawn chairs and head for the water front park/marina where there is thousands of people who are walking around, eating, drinking and playing chicken poop bingo... Come 11pm when it is pitch dark, then the fireworks go off and this year they were extraordinary, just beautiful.. Munising sure does a wonderful job for the people.. Then we had company come for a few days here and there and it is always nice to see our friends. In August we went to Wisconsin for a Heartland Rally put on by the chapter in Wisconsin.. That was our 1st time going with them and we also met some really nice people. It was held in the Wisconsin Dells area and we have been to the park many times before with other groups. We had fun there and then 2 weeks later we went to a Heartland Rally put on by the Michigan Club... We were near Traverse City and we have never been there before and it was really great to see some of the people that we met in Elkhart and Wisconsin...
I am going to go on the 15th to a Red Hat event where all the Red Hatter’s in the UP try to get together for a day of fun and laughter.... I am sad to tell that I am stepping down as Red Hat Queen for the Munising Area, I had been the Queen for almost 7 years and you know how the ole saying goes; “When things cease to be fun, it is time to step down and walk away.” Yep it has ceased to be fun, I would rather just be a member at large and go to others events.. THE END OF THAT PARAGRAPH..
Then this Saturday we are heading our with our friends from Wisconsin and our neighbors and we are going camping to the Soo Locks for a week. I just love sitting on the river bank listening to the scanner waiting for the ships to come sneaking by... Then we go to Bay Mills Casino campground for overnight before we head for home..
Our trailer then will be washed inside and out and put in the barn until we are ready to load it and head down the road to Texas.
Once we are in Texas our life goes into a different mode... We stay at a resort for 5 months and then we go to the beach, down to the inter-coastal and watch the dolphins, and Dan may do some fishing...We go down to the Valley(Mission area) and we will go over to Progresso Mexico, which is the safest boarder crossing and we don’t really go that far in... we visit our Illinois friends, and other friends that we have down there and then of course we eat out. There are some good Mexican and BBQ’s in Texas.. In Feb we are going on a cruise again, this is our 3rd one that Dan and I have gone on, He just loves those cruises.... Dan and I will go to San Antonio for a overnighter and that might be for our anniversary on the 21st of Dec. We will be married 27 years.. Come Spring time we head out for the hills for a few weeks and then we will make our trek back to the Northwood's of The Upper Peninsula”.
I am in the process of starting a blog and when I get it set up I will send you the address and you can follow us on what we do and where we have been. Dan and I are very fortunate to be able to travel as we do and we wish that all of our friends could do the same and follow behind our tire tracks. Life is good for us, and as long as our health stays good we will continue to do what we do..
This is the last blog that I made on the old blog I had..
It will be nice to hear from you and what you have been doing and plan on doing. We enjoy hearing from you... Even though I sometimes do not answer e-mails all the time, I do think of you and wish you well...
I will continue blogging on from this point forward.. Wish me luck!!!
